01 / EVENT
The basics
Rough numbers are fine. You can change anything below as you plan.
02 / SERVICE
Pick a package
Every package is built around four hours with one bartender for up to 50 guests. You supply the alcohol. Not sure? Start with Full Bar and compare.
Want alcohol included in the service? Mention it in your request and we will quote it separately.
03 / ESTIMATE
What moves the number
Why two events with the same guest count can land in different places.
Guest count sets how many bartenders you need, and that is the biggest lever. One bartender can comfortably serve about 50 guests. Past that, a second bartender keeps lines short and drinks consistent.
Hours matter next. A longer event needs more stamina, more ice, more restocking and a longer cleanup, so each added hour adds to the total. A menu of full cocktails takes more time per drink than beer, wine and a couple of simple highballs, which is why the packages step up in menu depth.
Distance covers getting a bartender and the gear to you. In Kentuckiana that is usually minor inside the metro and meaningful out in the surrounding counties.
For context, bartender-only service in the Louisville area commonly runs roughly $300 to $750 for a smaller event, and rises with menu complexity, headcount and travel. Treat any online number, ours included, as a planning range until you have a written quote.
Common questions
About this estimator and booking a private bartender.
How accurate is this estimate?
It is a planning range, not a quote. It accounts for package, guest count, hours and distance. Menu details, venue access, glassware needs and date can move the final number, which is why we confirm everything in writing before you book.
Why do I need a free account to see the full breakdown?
The range is open to everyone. A free account unlocks the line-by-line breakdown and a side-by-side comparison of all four packages for your event, so you can plan with real numbers. You can also opt in to occasional bar-planning tips by email, and unsubscribe any time.
What affects the cost of a private bartender?
Mostly guest count, hours of service, menu depth and distance. More guests means more bartenders, more hours means more labor and restocking, and a larger cocktail menu means more prep and more time per drink.
Do you serve my area?
We serve the whole Kentuckiana region, including Louisville, southern Indiana and the surrounding counties. Events farther out are welcome and include a travel allowance for the bartender and equipment.
What happens after I send a request?
You send your date, location and guest count. We reply with availability and a written quote, then hold your date once you confirm.
